When troubleshooting orders, start by navigating to the order details page to identify the type of error. This will help you understand the cause of the error and how to fix it.
On the details page, look for a red box that contains information about the error.
Once you have identified the error, you can usually fix it with minimal effort. Simply access the Shopify data payload, correct the issue, and manually push the updated order into your ERP by following these steps:
- Locate the Line with the Error: The error may be hidden in a dropdown section, so expand the data sections to find the relevant line.
- Edit the Section: Once you find the data that needs updating, hover over the line to reveal a blue pencil icon, indicating that the section is editable. Select the pencil icon to make the line editable.
- Edit: After making your changes, click the green tick next to the line to apply the update.
- Save Changes: Scroll down to the bottom of the payload and select Save Changes.
- Upload to Apparel21: From the Apparel21 dropdown at the top, select Upload to Apparel21.
- Monitor Order Status: You will see the order processing. The status will then change to either:
- Completed: This indicates that the update was successful and the order has been sent to your ERP.
- Failed: This means the edit did not resolve the issue. Continue troubleshooting, saving your changes, and trying again. If it still doesn’t work, you can revert the order to its original state from Shopify by selecting Shopify > Download from Shopify. Then, raise a support ticket with DotApparel, and we will assist you.
