Modified on Mon, 26 May at 11:50 AM

Once the new location has been set up in Shopify as available for C&C, you can follow the below steps to configure in DotApparel, import inventory levels and to allow orders to export for Apparel21.

1. Configure Location Mappings in DotApparel:
  • Open the DotApparel app, navigate to the location settings, and then the select the new Shopify location
  • Select the AP21 Store to map to this location from the Add store dropdown, this is the available locations from AP21

2. Configure Freight Option Mappings:
If the new location will be used for Click & Collect, map the freight options correctly as a "local pick-up" method, add the Pickup Store ID from AP21

3. Run the "Bulk Toggle Activation" Task:
Navigate to the “Legacy migration“ section on the settings page, and run the "bulk toggle activation" task. This task ensures the new location is assigned to each variant in Shopify.

4. Temporarily Disable the 5-Minute Inventory Sync:
  • Go to the “Automations“ settings in DotApparel and disable the 5-minute inventory sync. This is a necessary step because if there are a lot of locations and SKU combinations, the upcoming 5-minute inventory sync may impact the full inventory upload

5. Reset Cache and Download All Inventory:
  • Click “Reset cache“
  • Download the latest inventory data from Apparel21

6. Upload to Shopify:
On the the Product page, select Upload to Shopify from the Inventory dropdown

7. Download All Inventory from AP21 Again:

  • After the full inventory sync is completed, trigger downloading the inventory from AP21.

8. Resume the 5-Minute Inventory Sync:

  • Reactivate the 5-minute inventory sync in DotApparel.
